By boiling, bulgur will be ready in about 10-15 minutes.
The ratio to water should be about 2:1.
For example, if you want to prepare 1 cup (200 g) of bulgur, pour about 2 cups (400 ml) of water.
You can add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter for extra flavor.
If you do not have the opportunity to boil the bulgur, you can put it in a heat-resistant bowl and pour boiling water to cover it completely.
Put a lid on and leave it to soak for about 20-30 minutes, until the grains absorb the water and soften.
If after soaking, when all the water is absorbed, the grains are still hard, just add a little more boiling water and leave it for a few more minutes.
Soaking the bulgur will give it nice texture, perfect for bulgur salads, bulgur patties or an appetizing bulgur pilaf.
