How to make
Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the egg yolks, raisins, salt, 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g) sugar, butter, grated lemon rind and 1 2/3 tbsp (25 ml) brandy.
Separately, dissolve the yeast in 2/5 cup (100 ml) milk and 2 tablespoons sugar. Cover and let it rise in a warm place. Add the ready yeast to the flour mix.
Pour in milk gradually, enough so you get a soft dough. Let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oil in a deep pan. With a teaspoon, spoon out dough and drop it into the hot oil.
Fry the fritule on all sides, until golden. Take them out to a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
Pour the rest of the brandy evenly over these prepared Croatian donuts and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
