  • flour - 2 1/2 cups
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g) fresh
  • milk - 1 cup warm
  • butter - 1 tablespoon melted
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • butter - 1/5 cup (60 g) melted for spreading

How to make

Sift the flour, add the salt and cinnamon, stir and make a well. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm milk, add the melted butter, stir and pour the mixture into the well.

Knead a soft dough, smear a bowl with oil and put the dough in it, wrap it with plastic wrap and leave in warm area to double in volume.

Then, re-knead the dough briefly and roll it out to a sheet 1/2″ (1 cm) thick. Using the opening of a glass of the desired size, cut out round shapes and use a metal blade to cut out donut holes in the middle.

Arrange them in a tray with baking paper and leave in a warm area for 30 min.

Put the tray in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven and bake until golden.
