"You`re going to have to eat at least 5 of these pancakes before you can compare them to any other kind."

Ingredients

  • flour - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • baking soda - 1 1/5 tsp (6 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • eggs - 1
  • oil - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 ml) vegetable oil
  • milk - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)

How to make

In a separate bowl, sift the flour, add the baking soda and salt make a well. To it, add the egg which you've beaten with 1 1/3 tbsp (20 ml) oil and the milk. Add the egg mixture to the flour one gradually, while stirring constantly.

Use the remaining oil for frying the pancakes. Pour 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the pan at a time and fry the pancakes on both sides. Turn them over with a spatula once bubbles appear.

Spend about 1 minute frying on each side. Garnish the Canadian pancakes with fruit syrup or maple syrup.
