How to make
Cut the meat into bites, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, curry and 2 tbsp lemon juice. Leave it to take in the spices. Chop the cleaned onions into crescents, drain the mushrooms.
Heat butter and a little oil in an 8 3/4″ (22 cm) diameter pan. Saute the mushrooms briefly and take them out into a plate.
If needed, pour in a little more oil, roll the bites in flour and braise them until golden.
Add the onions and saute them as well. Sprinkle with paprika, stir, pour in the white wine, water and return the mushrooms to the pan. Sprinkle a little more salt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, curry and oregano. Cook briefly under a lid.
Transfer into an oven dish; or just put the whole pan in a preheated oven like I did. Bake at 370°F (190 °C) for 15 min. If it's still runny, beat 1 tsp flour with a little water and pour it into the pan.
Bake 4-5 min., sprinkle cheese on top for decoration and return to the oven for it to melt. Serve right away with a glass of wine. This recipe is from Rosi's Culinary Elixir.
