How to make
Sift the flour into a deep bowl that's easy to work in, make a well in it.
Mix the yoghurt with the baking soda and pour it into the flour well. Add the sugar, vanilla and oil. Optionally, you can add lemon/orange zest, ground nuts, cinnamon, essence, cocoa, chocolate, dried fruits and so on.
Knead the dough for about 10 min. Form it into balls. Dip each in sugar or ground walnuts. Put them in a greased tray or one laid out with baking paper and bake to a golden crust.
It's an exceptionally easy recipe, resulting in a kitchen wafting of grandma's tasty cookies from back in the day - a childhood memory.
You can serve them with a cup of tea, compote, juice, milk with cinnamon and honey, or why not with yoghurt too?
Enjoy!
