"Not just boiled wheat but an aromatic ashure - Noahs favorite pudding."

Ingredients

  • wheat - 4/5 cup (200 g) hulled
  • sugar - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • walnuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • raisins - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • rose water - 2 tsp (10 ml)
  • cinnamon - 2/3 tsp (3 g)
  • starch - 3 tsp
measures

How to make

Wash and clean the wheat, then soak it in water for a few hours. Put it to boil in the same water on low heat.

Set aside 2/3 of the wheat, pass it through a sieve and pour on the water used for boiling. Put the resulting mash to come to a boil and add the starch that you've diluted with a little cold water and the sugar.

Add the remaining 1/3 of the wheat, boil on low heat until thickened. Finally, mix together with the raisins and rose water.

Distribute the ashure into bowls, sprinkle with crumbled walnuts and cinnamon.
