"Nothing compares to the taste of homemade peppers in jars. They add a plethora of flavor and color to the winter season dining table!"

Ingredients

  • peppers - 33 lb (15 kg), red
  • salt - to taste
measures

How to make

Clean the red peppers of their seeds and bake until ready. Smother them in a pot with a lid, then peel and arrange in a tray at an angle, to drain, for 15 min.

Prepare dry jars and fill them with the red peppers, while sprinkling 1 tsp salt in each jar. There's no need to top off with water, the peppers will release juice during boiling.

Fill the jars up to the rim and close with caps. Arrange them in a large container, cover with warm water and boil for 20 min.

Take the jars out and store in a cool area away from sunlight for the winter.

You can make a whole bunch of tasty dishes with these peppers. I ended up with exactly 9 jars from these quantities.
