Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • yeast - 1/2 small packet
  • water - 2/3 cup (150 g), warm
  • feta cheese - 1 cup, grated
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2
  • yoghurt - 2 tbsp

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and add it to the flour and salt. Knead a medium-hard dough and roll it out to a sheet 1/4″ (0.5 cm) thick.

Sprinkle the sheet with feta cheese, roll it up and cut it into 8 separate pieces. Arrange the prepared pieces 3/4″ (2 cm) from each other in a well-oiled tray and sprinkle with oil on top.

Cover the tray with foil or a plastic bag and leave it in the fridge for 8 hours.

Pour a mixture of eggs beaten with yoghurt over the risen loaves and bake 15-20 min. at 360°F (180 °C).
