"Wonderful little lye bread rolls - see how to prepare them and enjoy the taste"

Ingredients

  • flour - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 tbsp.
  • dry yeast - 0.25 oz (7 g)
  • water - 1 cup (250 ml) lukewarm
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • For the lye
  • water - 8 cups (2 L)
  • baking soda - 7 tbsp.
  • sesame seeds - for sprinkling
measures

How to make

A smooth, soft and elastic dough is kneaded from the dough products. Then it is divided into balls, which are arranged in a greased baking pan and left to rise for 40 minutes.

Prepare in advance 7 tbsp. of baking soda in a bowl.

The two liters (8 cups) of water are brought to a boil and then the soda is added into them. It boils a lot at first, so remove it from the heat.

Once it stops boiling, place it back onto the heat. Dip as many bread buns as you can, so that you have room to turn the bread buns. Hold each bread bun for a minute on each side.

Then use a slotted spoon to remove the bread buns, drain them and then arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Make slits with a knife on the bread buns.

Sprinkle them with sesame seeds and bake the bread buns in a 390°F (200°C) oven for about 20 minutes.

The Lye Bread Rolls are very tasty.
