"Clay pots dishes are some of the most emblematic and delicious in Balkan cuisine. As such, we`ve prepared a truly high-end clay pot recipe for you to make whenever you have the time and desire for something tasty."

Ingredients

  • mince - 17.5 oz (500 g), mix
  • vienna sausages - 2
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • black pepper
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • savory - 1 tsp, ground
  • mushroom sauce - 4/5 cup (200 ml), canned
  • eggs - 4
  • onions - 2 heads
  • olive oil - 4 tsp
measures

How to make

Cut the Vienna sausages finely, put them in a bowl.

Dice the cheese finely, add it to the Vienna sausages. Add in the mince and all of the spices, stir, so that all of the ingredients mix together nicely.

Peel and cut the onions into crescents.

Smear the insides of each of the clay pots with 1 tsp olive oil or oil. Form 16 small meatballs from the mince mixture, put 4 in each clay pot, add a little onion on top of or next to the meatballs.

Pour 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml) of the mushroom sauce into each clay pot, place the lids on and put them in the oven to bake at 360°F (180 °C) for about 50 min.

Take the lids off, break an egg into each and finish baking until ready.
