Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 packet of sheets, rectangular, thin
  • eggs - 2
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)

  • oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • water - 1/3 cup (80 ml), hot
  • butter - 3 tbsp
  • yoghurt - 3 tbsp
measures

How to make

Lay out the phyllo pastry sheets and cut them into 5 equal parts with a sharp knife. Keep them covered to prevent drying.

Crumble the feta cheese in a bowl, add the beaten eggs, yoghurt and baking soda.

In another bowl, pour in the oil, add the butter and pour the hot water over them.

Begin rolling up the phyllo pastries on a clean surface as follows:

Take a phyllo pastry sheet, smear it with the buttery mixture with a brush, place a 2nd sheet on top and smear only one end with the mixture.

Put some of the yoghurt mixture at the lower end of the sheets.

Fold the sheets into a triangular form.

Bake them in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven.

At the 15 minute mark, take the oven dish out and smear the phyllo pastries with the butter mixture once again.

Bake until ready.
