  • flour - 2.5 lb (1.1 kg)
  • yeast - 1 cube
  • water - 1 cup, warm
  • milk - 2 tbsp
  • eggs - 1 white
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • oil - 2 - 3 tbsp
  • feta cheese - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • paprika
  • savory
  • for smearing
  • eggs - 1 yolk
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 - 2 drops

How to make

Dilute the yeast in the water. To it add the salt, sugar, oil, egg white and flour. Knead a soft dough from this. Leave it for 30 min. in a warm area.

Then divide it into 2 balls. Make a sheet about 1/4 thick from each one.

Sprinkle feta cheese, paprika and a little savory on one sheet, put the other sheet on top and wrap it into a roll. Put the roll in an oiled cake tray.

Leave it to rise in a warm area. On top, smear it with beaten egg yolk, oil and vinegar. Bake at 390°F (200 °C) until ready.
