How to make
Heat the milk and divide it into 2 parts - put the sugar and yeast in one part, sprinkle it with flour. Leave it aside to activate.
Whisk the eggs, but set aside 1 yolk for smearing the pita later. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead a nice, smooth dough. Leave it to rise in a warm area, then divide it in 2 large parts and 1 smaller one.
Divide 1 large part into 2, roll out 2 sheets from it. Cut out a heart shape from the 2 sheets using a heart-shaped form. Smear one of them with butter, cut out 5 holes in the other and place it atop the first. Smear the form with oil and put baking paper in it.
From the other large part, roll out a sheet, smear it with butter and wrap into a roll. Cut it into thick rolls, arrange them along the edges of the form. From the small part of dough, cut out circles and form roses, placing them in the holes.
If you have any dough left over, make more roses. Leave the pita to rise, smear it with beaten yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated 320°F (160 °C) oven about 35-40 min.
