How to make
Crack open the walnuts, remove the shells and grind them. Cut the pickles into cubes about 1/2″ (1 cm) per side. Prepare 3 bowls, where you're going to roll the cream cheese balls in.
In 1 bowl, put 1 tbsp sesame, 1 tbsp poppy seeds, 1 tbsp flax.
Put the ground walnuts in the 2nd bowl and 3 tbsp sesame seeds in the 3rd. 1 cup (250 g) cream cheese is enough for about 30 balls.
Put a piece of pickle in the middle of each ball. Roll the prepared balls in each of the 3 bowls, then cut out small hearts from the peel of a red apple with a suitable knife.
Sprinkle the apple peels with lemon juice so they don't darken. After you've cut out the required amount of hearts, stick them on top of the balls.
