  • potatoes - 4 - 5, large
  • cheese - 7 oz (200 g), grated

How to make

In an oven dish, arrange the thinly sliced strips of bacon. Put half of them in the oven dish, the other half outside of it. Arrange some boiled potatoes on top, cut into slices, season with salt and black pepper and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Then place another layer of potatoes, cheese and finally cover with the remaining bacon so it's wrapped well. Bake in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven for about 20 min. Before you invert the foccacia into a plate, drain out the excess grease from the oven dish.

Serve it warm as an appetizer for cold beer.
