Ingredients

  • pork neck steaks - 6
  • mushrooms - 1 lb (450 g)
  • onions - 2 large onions
  • mustard - 2 tbsp.
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • butter - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • flour - for rolling
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1 tsp.
  • ground cumin - 1/2 tsp.
  • frying oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)

How to make

Salt and season the steaks, then pound them on both sides. Cover them and put them in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Heat the oil in the pan over medium heat. Roll each steak in the flour, tap to remove the excess, and fry for 2-3 minutes on both sides.

Wash the mushrooms and cut them into slices. Cut the onion into crescents.

Arrange the steaks tightly next to each other in the baking pan. Arrange the onion on top of them and the mushrooms on top of the onion. Salt to taste.

Dilute the mustard with 6.8 fl oz (200 ml) of water and pour it over the steaks.

Put a little butter on each steak (see in the gallery). Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil.

Bake the steaks in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 90 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 30 minutes.

Serve the steaks with mushrooms warm with a suitable side dish and a glass of red wine.
