How to make
Prepare the vegetables for garnish by cutting the pickles into slices, washing the lettuce, cutting the tomato and onion into circles. Set aside.
Boil the lentils, having pre-soaked them for about an hour in cold water. Boil until semi cooked, because then they will undergo additional heat treatment. Boil for 20 minutes. Strain them.
Finely chop the mushrooms, onion and garlic and cook them in a pan in olive oil for 7-8 minutes at a medium heat - the idea is not to overcook them, but to get the water out of them.
We mix the lentils with the mushrooms, onions and garlic in the blender, add the soy sauce, tahini, thyme, breadcrumbs, chia, black pepper, smoked paprika and if you like it more salty, add salt to taste.
We blend until a homogeneous mixture is obtained - a strong, sticky mixture is obtained.
We put the finished mixture in a bowl, where we wait for it to absorb the excess water for about 10 minutes. Add grated 1/2 sweet potato to the mixture and form the vegetarian burgers. Makes 4 large burgers.
In a heated pan with hot oil, finish cooking the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side.
Appetizing mayonnaise sauce is prepared by mixing all the ingredients for it and stirring until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Toast lightly the bread buns in the oven to make them crispy or cut them in half and put them in the toaster for 1 minute on the lowest setting.
Assemble the delicious homemade burger by spreading the mayonnaise sauce on the lower part of the bun, the meatball on it, the vegetables on top, and the siracha sauce is spread on the other burger bun + the pickles on the sauce.
We assemble the two parts of the bun and our burger is ready :)
Serve the vegetarian burger with lentil meatballs with your favorite beer!
Enjoy!
