"This salad sounds like a romantic dinner invitation, which we`re rushing to accept before someone beats us to it."

Ingredients

  • lettuce - 2 leaves
  • tomatoes - 3
  • cucumbers - 1/2 of a large cucumber
  • prosciutto - 8 thin slices
  • bread - 2 slices rye or other brown bread
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • paprika - 2 pinches
  • basil - 1 tsp, dry
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • sprouts - 2 pinches
  • parmesan - 3 oz (75 g) grated

How to make

To prepare the croutons, cut the bread into small cubes, sprinkle them with salt, black pepper, dried basil, a little paprika and spray them with olive oil.

Put them in a heated oven to toast briefly. Mix the chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, and short pieces of prosciutto in a bowl. Add the flavored croutons to the salad and season it with salt, olive oil and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Serve the salad in a plate, add some sprouts and coarsely grate a little parmesan over it.
