Ingredients

  • chicken drumsticks - 6
  • potatoes - 1.6 lb (750 g)
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp.
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • cheese - 5.3 oz (150 g), grated
  • eggs - 1
  • flour
  • breadcrumbs

How to make

The chicken drumsticks are washed and placed in a pot. Crush the garlic with a knife and add it into the pot. Add salt and water to cover the chicken. After it boils, it is reduced and left until the meat is cooked. Meanwhile, remove the drumsticks and set them aside.

Put the washed and peeled potatoes in the same pot to boil them as well.

When they are cooked, they are taken out and after they cool down, they are mashed into a puree. Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, 3 tbsp. flour and grated cheese. Everything is mixed well.

Remove the meat from the chicken drumsticks with your hands and keep the bones. Cut the meat into small pieces and add it to the potato mixture and mix well again.

Take part of the mixture in your hand and flatten it slightly. Take one of the bones and place it in the middle, then add more of the mixture and shape it into a chicken drumstick. This is repeated with the rest of the bones and the mixture.

For breading the drumsticks, divide the breadcrumbs, flour and beaten egg into 3 different plates. Roll the drumsticks first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs.

Heat a lot of oil and fry the drumsticks until golden on all sides. Allow the excess fat to drain before serving.

The potato chicken drumsticks must be served with a cold beer.
