  • apples - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • gelling sugar - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • water - 4/5 cup (200 ml)

How to make

Clean the apples and only then weigh them. You can cook them along with the peel.

The required amount is 1 kilogram of peeled apples. Grate them and then puree them until smooth.

Put them in a deep pot and add 200 ml of water. Boil for 30-40 minutes, stirring constantly.

After this time, add icing sugar and cook for another 15 minutes.

To be sure of the readiness of the marmalade, put 1 tbsp. of it in a plate and leave it to cool. If the mixture thickens, the marmalade is ready.

Pour it into a tray or glass dish and wait for it to cool. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

It is suitable for direct consumption, as well as for filling various rolls or pastries.

Prepared this way, the apple marmalade lasts for several weeks in the refrigerator. The other option is to pour it into jars and sterilize it for 10 minutes.
