How to make
Wash and cut the wild plums in half, removing the pits.
Place them in a wide metal container and sprinkle them with sugar, cover with a lid and leave them for at least 3 hours to release their juice.
Put the container on the stove and cook until their syrup thickens.
Test it with a drop on a cold plate, if it jam turns into jelly, it's ready.
Add the lemon juice, stir and let it boil for another 2 minutes.
Pour the wild plum jam into clean, dry jars while they are still hot and turn them upside down.
Wrap them in a towel and leave them like that until the jars of grandma's wild plum jam cool down.
