"Every minute of waiting for the lamb in the oven is worth it - this Turkish recipe is among our favorites"

Ingredients

  • lamb meat - 3.3 lb (1.5 kg)
  • spring onion - 4 bunches
  • spearmint - 1 bunch
  • parsley - 1 bunch
  • paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • black pepper - 1 tsp.
  • tomatoes - 4 pcs. medium - sized
  • oil - 1/2 cup
measures

How to make

For this appetizing lamb roast cut the meat into portions and wash it well under running water.

Dry it with paper towels or a towel and rub it with salt and black pepper on all sides. Coat it well with oil and set it aside.

Clean and finely chop the onion. Place it in a bowl and add finely chopped parsley and spearmint (can be dry).

Peel the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes. Add them to the bowl as well. Season with salt and black pepper and stir the mixture.

Get a baking pan that is big enough. Put the lamb in it, and add the onion and tomatoes on the side.

Pour one and a half cups of water. Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil and place it in the oven.

For the Turkish-style roasted lamb, it will need about 2 hours of baking at 360°F (180°C).

After this time, you can uncover the baking pan and bake for another half hour.
