How to make
Pour all the ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix with a whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Pour the finished mixture into a suitable box and put it in the refrigerator, letting it freeze completely.
Prepare the caramel. Put the sugar in a deep small pot.
Add 2 tablespoons of water, a pinch of salt and leave it on the stove until light caramel is obtained.
Remove from the heat, wait 2-3 minutes and pour 100 ml of water.
Place it back onto the stove again and cook for about 10 minutes until a thick syrup is obtained.
Finally, add the citric acid and remove from the heat after a minute.
Let the caramel cool and then store it in a dry glass bottle or jar.
When we decide to serve the homemade ice cream with caramel, we take out the box for 5-10 minutes at room temperature.
Divide the ice cream into suitable bowls and drizzle the caramel on top.
