How to make
First, start with the cleaning of the leaves of the chives, wash them well under running water, then clean them from the stems and cut them into small pieces with the knife.
Then clean the walnuts (about a water glass full) and toast them in a pan without fat for a while - just to release some flavor. In this way, they also release fat more and they smell very nice, crush them in a nut machine.
Add everything into a blender - garlic, salt, olive oil and walnuts.
Start to blend, add water according to how thick you want the pesto.
Something new and different! Ideal for bruschetta or crackers.
