How to make
Beat the butter with the sugar until foamy, add the yolks one by one.
Pour a little flour and milk between each yolk. Add the lemon peel and lemon juice.
Finally, add the egg whites, beaten well.
Gently stir the mixture so that it does not flatten and pour it into a greased and floured cake mold. Put it in the oven and bake it a little.
While the dough has not yet formed a crust, arrange the washed and pitted cherries on top. Finish off baking the butter cake.
The fruit cake is sliced when it cools down and sprinkled with vanilla sugar.
This cake can be made with strawberries, peaches, apple slices, plum halves and grapes.
The cherry cake is ready.
