Ingredients

  • macaroni - 9 oz (250 g)
  • ham - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • bacon - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • cream - 4/5 cup (200 ml) for cooking
  • salt
  • bay leaf - 1 pc.
  • black pepper
  • onion - 1/2 onion
  • yellow cheese - for sprinkling

How to make

Cook the macaroni according to instructions on the package, adding a pinch of salt to the water, 1 tbsp. oil and bay leaf. Remove and strain the macaroni.

In a pan, heat 1 tbsp. fat. Add the ham and bacon, cut into small pieces. Fry them well.

Add the onion, also finely chopped. Wait for it to soften and pour the cream. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper and oregano.

Boil for five minutes and turn off the heat. Mix the sauce with the macaroni. Stir well. Transfer them into a baking pan.

Sprinkle them with grated yellow cheese. Bake the macaroni in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) until the cheese melts.
