Ingredients

  • For the meatballs
  • minced meat - 1.1 lb (500 g) of mixture
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • potatoes - 1 pc. small
  • onion - 1/2 onion
  • carrots - 1 pc. medium - sized
  • parsley - 3 sprigs, the leaves
  • coriander - 1 stalk, the leaves
  • spring onions - 1 - 2 pcs. the green part, the leaves
  • celery - 1 tbsp. finely chopped
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • cumin - to taste
  • salt - to taste
  • flour - for rolling
  • More
  • potato chips - 1 small packet
  • cottage cheese - 4.2 oz (120 g) for sprinkling
  • barbecue sauce - or Ketchup for serving

How to make

Finely chop or grate the onion, carrot and potato (raw). Finely chop the parsley and coriander as well.

Mix the minced meat with the egg, vegetables, fresh and dry spices and salt to taste. Leave it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

With moistened fingers, form small meatballs about the size of a walnut. Roll them in flour and arrange them in a greased or parchment paper lined baking tray.

Put them in an oven heated to 360°F (180°C) and bake until lightly browned - about 25-30 minutes.

Arrange circles of the chips on platters and place one meatball on a toothpick on top of each one. Sprinkle with grated yellow cheese and serve with bowls of Barbecue Sauce or Ketchup.
