Ingredients

  • brown sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • water - 1 cup
  • honey - 2 tbsp.
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • flour - about 2 and 1/2 cups
  • cocoa - 2 tbsp. or instant coffee
  • raisins - 1/2 cup
  • walnuts - 1/2 cup crushed
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
  • cloves powder - 1 pinch
  • ginger powder - 1/2 tsp.

How to make

Mix the water with the sugar and the oil and put the pot on a low heat. Add the honey and stir until the sugar melts.

After the mixture has cooled, add the spices, baking soda and cocoa and mix well.

Finally, add the sifted flour with the baking powder and the walnuts and raisins.

Pour the mixture into a greased and lightly floured mold and put it to bake in a moderate and preheated oven at 360°F (180°C).

You can decorate the vegan cake as you like - with powdered sugar, nuts or glaze with jam or honey.

The vegan honey cake is ready.
