How to make
When was the last time you tried real butter?
We receive 5 liters of milk from a small farm at home every week. I have a homemade method for making butter and now I will share it with you.
Strain the milk and boil it in a large non-stick (double) bottomed pot. When it boils, remove it from the heat and let it cool completely for a few hours. Then put it in the fridge for a few more hours.
Prepare a three-liter glass jar with a nylon (plastic) lid.
With a large spoon, carefully skim the cream of the milk and the layer below it and put it in the jar. Add lukewarm water - no more than 4/5 cup (200 ml).
Put the plastic lid on and start shaking the jar. This takes time, so don't rush.
I make my homemade butter by relaxing sitting comfortably on the couch or while watching TV.
At first, small lumps of butter are formed, later larger ones. Pour the entire contents of the jar into a large bowl and leave it for about an hour in the refrigerator. Butter hardens and separates easily from milk.
Store it in a container with a lid in the refrigerator and consume within 5-6 days. Enjoy the taste of homemade butter.
Enjoy it!
