measures

How to make

All the ingredients for the dough (except the flour) are mixed. The soda is activated in the vinegar. Beat with a wire whisk. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough. The dough should be very slightly sticky, so you can easily work with it.

Balls the size of a walnut are formed from the dough /my honey cookies are 25 g/. Arrange the balls on a tray covered with baking paper, by leaving space between them. I have shown in one of the pictures.

They flatten when baked. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes, until they crinkle. Every oven bakes differently, mine is gas, so judge by yours.

The finished honey cookies are left to cool completely. Then they are stuck together with jam and rolled in crushed walnuts. They are left to soften for several hours. The longer they are left, the nicer they become.

You can roll out the dough and cut out the honey cookies, bake and decorate them. Then the baking time is 10 minutes.

You can carve out out the honey cookies, fill them with some kind of cream and stick them together.
