How to make
Spread each filo pastry sheet with melted butter and fold it into an accordion shape. Then arrange the sheet in a circle on a greased baking tray.
Leave a little space between the filo pastry sheets. Bake in a preheated oven with a fan at 360°F (180°C) for ten minutes.
During this time, make the cream. Beat the egg yolks, sugar and flour with one part of the milk. Then add the remaining milk and vanilla. Beat again and pour into a pot.
Add the butter and put it on the stove. Stir until the confectionery cream thickens slightly, a thick cream should be obtained. In no case should it be very thick, because it will sit like a lump and not spread out.
Pour this mixture over the baked filo pastry sheets, making sure it is evenly distributed. Then put it in the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
The finished cream pie is left to cool and finally sprinkled with powdered sugar.
