How to make
Blanch the spinach in boiling water for about 10 minutes, then strain it well and stew it in 50 g margarine/butter, until it softens. Season with a little salt and leave it to cool.
The preparation of the cigars is simple - two filo pastry sheets are used, a line of the spinach stuffing is placed at the lower end (about a finger thick), after which the sheets are rolled up.
The rolled up sheets are divided into three or four equal parts and placed in a baking tray and the spinach filo pastries are covered with the remaining margarine on top.
The filo pastries are baked in an oven preheated to 360°F (180°C) for about 45 minutes.
The Vegan Spinach Filo Cigars are ready.
