Ingredients

  • asparagus - 9 oz (250 g) young and fresh
  • olive oil
  • butter - a lump
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • almonds (roasted, sliced)

How to make

Roast the almonds briefly in a non greased pan, by stirring at all times. Remove them from the heat and set them aside.

The asparagus is cleaned and its hard part is torn off.

Pour enough water and salt into a deep pot and boil it. The asparagus is blanched for 2 minutes. They should remain fresh green.

Remove immediately and place them in a bowl of ice water with ice cubes to stop the cooking process.

They are strained, dried and mixed with a little olive oil. Place them in a heated grill-pan for a few minutes, by turning them constantly with tongs.

Pull them away from the heat and distribute them into two plates, season with salt and black pepper.

Melt some butter and lightly drizzle it over the asparagus and sprinkle roasted sliced almonds on top.

Grilled asparagus with sliced almonds are delicious!
