How to make
Clean the leeks from the dry leaves, wash them and cut them into about 5-6 centimeters long pieces.
Place the leek pieces in a pot of boiling salted water, by being careful not to boil them for too long.
Take them out carefully and leave them in a colander to drain from the water and cool. Press each individual piece of leek with the back of the spoon to flatten it.
After that, successively roll in flour, in beaten eggs, in breadcrumbs and again in eggs and fry in very hot oil over high heat. Fry on both sides, until they aquire a golden color.
Leave the breaded leek sticks for a few minutes onto kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.
Serve them with tartar sauce or pickled vegetables of your choice.
The breaded leeks are ready.
