Ingredients

  • chicken drumsticks - 4 pcs.
  • onion - 1 onion
  • tomatoes - 1 pc.
  • canned tomatoes - 0.9 oz (400 g)
  • garlic - 2 - 3 cloves
  • olives - 1.8 oz (50 g) (green and black)
  • anchovy - 3 - 4 fillets (optional)
  • capers - 2 tbsp.
  • basil - 1 stalk
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • sugar - 1 tsp.

How to make

Fry the chicken in a little fat. Take it out and place it onto a plate and in the same fat, stew the onion, which has been cut into crescents.

Add the garlic and the finely chopped tomato. Pour the canned tomatoes (peeled and chopped) and sugar.

Add salt and black pepper. Pour about 4/5 cup (200 ml) of water. Leave it to boil and place the chicken in it. Leave the dish to boil for about 20 minutes on low heat.

Add the chopped olives, capers, anchovies and basil. After 5 minutes, remove the dish from heat.

Serve the stewed chicken with cooked spaghetti.
