Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 1 pc.
  • apples - 2 pcs.
  • butter - a small lump
  • raisins - a handful
  • vanilla - 1 pc.
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp.
  • rum - 1/4 cup
  • brown sugar
  • walnuts - 1/4 cup
  • for spreading
  • egg yolks - 1 pc.
  • oil - 1 tbsp.
  • milk - 1 tbsp.

How to make

Soak the raisins in rum for several hours. Peel, clean and cut the apples into small pieces. Melt the butter in a pan and fry them, until they soften.

Add the raisins and 2-3 tbsp. of brown sugar. Wait for it to caramelize slightly and remove it from the heat. Add the cinnamon and vanilla.

Finely chop the walnuts. Put them in as well. Stir well.

Cut the dough into rectangles. Place the special apple strudel stuffing at one end, sprinkle with brown sugar and roll it up.

Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper at a distance. Make slits on top of the strudel. Brush it with the beaten yolk, oil and milk.

Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C), until it's fully baked. Take it out, cool it and before serving sprinkle the mini puff pastry strudel with powdered sugar.
