"A potato stew with more surprises, that you will enjoy"

Ingredients

  • potatoes - 1.4 lb (650 g)
  • prince mushroom - 7 oz (200 g)
  • bacon - 5.3 oz (150 g) boiled and smoked
  • onion - 1 medium - sized onion
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • chicken broth - 2 1/2 cups (600 ml) or water + broth cube
  • paprika - 1 tsp. with a tip
  • red wine - 4 2/3 tbsp (70 ml)
  • parsley - 3 sprigs
  • oil - 4 tbsp (60 ml)
  • salt - 1 tsp. (or by taste)

How to make

Finely chop the onion, the garlic and the parsley sprigs (the leaves along with part of the stalks). Fry them for about 5 minutes in the heated oil.

Add the diced bacon and stir for 2-3 minutes.

Add the mushrooms - cleaned and chopped, close the pot with a lid and cook for 7-8 minutes on moderate heat.

You may stir from time to time to ensure, that the products do not burn.

During this time, peel and cut the potatoes into large pieces.

After the 8th minute of cooking the mushrooms, add the potatoes, salt, paprika dissolved in the wine and the hot chicken broth.

Cover the pot with the potato stew tightly again and cook for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are fully cooked.

Serve the Potato, Mushroom and Bacon Stew warm.

It's so delicious, that it doesn't need any extra spices!
