How to make
Put the eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat with a mixer, until a thick foam is obtained. Pour the oil in a thin stream. Add the yogurt.
Sift the flour with a pinch of salt, baking powder and vanilla. Add them in portions to the liquid mixture. Homogenize all products well, until a smooth mass is obtained.
Grease and flour a round sponge cake tin. Pour half of the mixture, crumble the halva on top and sprinkle with the walnuts.
Cover with the remaining cake mix. Bake the walnut sponge cake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for about 35 minutes.
Check the favorite sponge cake with a wooden skewer to see if it is fully baked.
Sprinkle the finished sponge cake with halva and walnuts generously with powdered sugar!
