Ingredients

  • flour - 2.8 oz (80 g)
  • sugar - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • sunflower oil - 4 tbsp (60 ml)
  • milk - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • ground walnuts - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • cocoa - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • baking powder - 4/5 tbsp (8 g)
  • for the chocolate topping
  • dark chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • milk - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • butter - a lump

How to make

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar and beat with a mixer, until a smooth cream is obtained.

Pour the sunflower oil and milk.

In another bowl, sift the flour with the cocoa and baking powder. Add it to the egg cream. Add the ground walnuts. The mixture you will get is almost liquid, but don't worry, it will harden as it bakes and the cake will have a soft and moist consistency and a rich chocolate-cocoa flavor!

Line a detachable cake tin (8″ -20 cm) with baking paper. Pour the mixture in it.

Bake the cake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven with a fan for about 20 minutes.

Remove it from oven, remove the ring and cool the chocolate cake on a wire rack.

Break the chocolate in a pot, add a lump of butter and the milk. Place the pot in a water bath and stir, until the chocolate melts and you have a smooth, chocolatey mixture.

Pour it over the cooled chocolate cake with walnuts.

Decorate it to your liking.
