"Nothing says `Im happy to see you` quite like a piece of chocolate cake with walnuts."

Ingredients

  • natural chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • butter - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • flour - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • sugar - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • cocoa - 1 - 2 tablespoons
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • eggs - 3
  • walnuts - 3.5 oz (100 g) sliced

How to make

Melt the butter and broken chocolate in a container in a water bath on the stove until homogenized. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

Add the chocolate to this, add the eggs in, stir well and finally- add the walnuts. Pour the cake mixture into a small baking form, covered with baking paper.

Put the cake to bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 °C) for 20-25 minutes. When ready, you can sprinkle it with cocoa, smear it with honey or pour couverture chocolate or ganache over it.
