How to make
Cut the bananas into pieces and put them in a container, which closes tightly. Pour the alcohol and if it doesn't cover them, add more alcohol - they should be well covered.
Add the vanilla pod, which is broken or cut into pieces. Close the container tightly and leave it in a dark and cool place for 2 weeks. I recommend sticking a piece of paper on the lid with the date you left it. Shake occasionally without opening.
After the specified time has passed, prepare a thick sugar syrup by placing the water and sugar on a moderate heat and boiling it for 5 minutes, counted from the moment of boiling. Let it cool completely.
During this time you must strain/filter the banana flavored concentrate. For this purpose, use paper filters, a very fine strainer, coffee machine filters or some fine cloth. Leave it to drip slowly while your syrup cools.
Mix the filtered alcohol with the sugar syrup, pour it into a bottle and close it tightly.
Leave it for a bit longer - from 10 days to 1 month. A good liqueur has to age. Serve it on its own with chunks of ice or as an ingredient in various cocktails.
Fragrant and wonderful liqueur! Cheers!
Recommendation: The natural color, which is obtained is slightly copper, it is nice, but it has nothing to do with the color of the banana, so if you want it to have a yellow tint for a more original look, add 1/2 a tube of yellow confectionery paint by Dr. Oetker.
