  • beef - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 onion
  • celery - 1 stalk
  • prunes - 10 - 12 pcs.
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1 pinch
  • cumin - 1 pinch

How to make

Cut the meat into large bites. Put them in a pot. Pour about a liter and a half of water.

Add 1 level top tablespoon of salt, the diced carrot, the whole onion and the celery stalk.

Cook the meat, until it's done. It will take you about an hour and a half. Remove the cooked meat.

Transfer the vegetables into a deep bowl and blend, until a smooth mixture is obtained. Dilute with some meat broth.

Heat a cup of olive oil. Pour a teaspoon of paprika and immediately add the blended vegetables. Be careful not to burn the paprika!

Add the meat and prunes. If necessary, dilute with a little more broth. Keep in mind, that you will only be stewing the dish for about 10 minutes, so don't dilute it out too much.

Do not add flour, since the pureed vegetables thicken the dish. Season with a pinch of black pepper and a pinch of cumin. Cover the dish and stew for 10 minutes.

Serve the stewed beef with prunes warm and sprinkled with parsley!
