"Undoubtedly, this mutton is tastiest when cooked on a wood stove, but it turns out delicious, no matter what stove you have"

Ingredients

  • mutton - about 2.2 lb (1 kg) cut into portions
  • leek - 1 bunch (about 1 kg)
  • tomatoes - 10.5 oz (300 g) sterilized
  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • water - 3 cups
  • black pepper
  • salt - by taste
measures

How to make

The mutton is boiled in 2 cups of water. Add the leeks, which are cut into circles, the oil, salt and paprika.

When the leeks soften, add the tomatoes and rice.

Finally, add a cup of water, mix everything well and transfer them into a baking pan.

Bake in a moderately heated oven, until the rice swells well and the dish remains in fat.

The oven-baked rice is served sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.

The baked mutton with leeks and rice is very tasty.
