measures

How to make

The potatoes are peeled and cut into circles. They are boiled in salted water. Strain them with a slotted spoon. Little of their water is set aside for later use.

Place one boiled potato, the grated peel and juice of one lemon, garlic, mustard, olive oil and oregano in a bowl.

Add a little of the water from the potatoes. The mixture is grinded in a blender, by judging by its density. Season with salt and black pepper, place it on a moderate heat to warm up.

Place the potatoes in a bowl and pour the warmed dressing over them. Thin slices of red onion are also added. Mix carefully, then leave it to chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator. It is then served.

The Bavarian Potato Salad is very tasty.

Note: Fresh lettuce leaves can be added to the potato salad, if desired, as well as a few Kalamata olives as an extra.
