measures

How to make

Place the sugar, yeast, 1 tbsp flour and a little lukewarm water in a bowl.

Stir and allow the yeast to activate.

Once ready, add the water, salt, olive oil and half of the flour.

Stir in one direction to a homogeneous mix.

Now is the right time to add the remaining flour and knead for about 10 minutes.

When ready, cover the dough with a towel and set aside, until it doubles in volume.

Knead again and cover.

Form 12 balls of equal size and rolll out each ball to a thin, flat bread.

Cover again with a towel to prevent from drying.

Place the skillet on the stove, heat and start grilling the pita breads.

If you lack a skillet, use a heavy bottom pan.

Cook for 15-20 seconds, flip and cook for about a minute, and repeat until each pita bread is ready.

It should not take you more than 3 minutes for each bread.

The Arabic Pita Bread is ready.

Enjoy!
