"When you dont drink at all, but suddenly you want to eat gin - a festive jelly gin and tonic"

Ingredients

  • tonic - 10 fl oz (300 ml)
  • gin - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • sugar - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • fresh mint leaves
  • cardamom - 6 - 7 pods
  • pomegranate - about 12 - 14 grains
  • gelatin - 0.3 oz (9 g)
  • lemons - 1/2 pc.
  • spices for gin and tonic - optional (juniper berries, pink pepper, hibiscus flowers)
measures

How to make

Put the tonic, gin, teaspoons of sugar and squeeze a few drops of lemon juice in a pot over medium heat. You can also add a few cardamom grains for more flavor.

Hydrate the gelatin according to the manufacturer's instructions and once the liquid has become hot enough, without waiting for it to boil, dissolve it in it and mix well.

In silicone molds or ice cube trays, but larger ones, place mint leaves, pomegranate seeds and lemon peel.

When the liquid has cooled slightly, fill the molds with it and cool them completely. It should harden quickly, but if not yet, refrigerate them, until they have completely hardened.

Carefully separate them from the molds before serving.

Serve it at the end of the festive dinner or lunch on a suitable tray or in small cups and garnish with gin and tonic spices or more lemon and mint.

The festive jelly gin and tonic is ready.

Enjoy the holiday!
