  • quinoa - 7 oz (200 g) tricolor
  • red onion - 1 onion
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • raisins - 3 tbsp. (small)
  • walnuts - 1 handful
  • bay leaf - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp.
  • cinnamon - 1/3 tsp.
  • cloves - 3 pcs.
  • sunflower oil - 2 tbsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.

How to make

Finely chop onion and carrot and stew them for a few minutes in oil and a little water. If desired, you can leave them to fry for an even better aroma.

During this time, clean and wash the quinoa and when the onions are ready, add it and add water (about 3 cups (600 ml). Add the bay leaf and leave it to boil.

Wash the raisins and grind the walnuts (it is best to soak them in water from the night before) and add them to the quinoa. Crush the cloves (or use ground cloves) and mix all of the dry spices in a separate bowl.

When you see, that the quinoa is almost ready, add the spice mixture and leave it to boil, until the water evaporates completely.
