"Homemade caramelized nuts, which you can treat guests your gests to - there will be enough for them and you can store them in a jar"

Ingredients

  • raw nuts - 3.5 oz (100 g) (walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, almonds)
  • sugar - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • oil - for greasing
measures

How to make

Pour the sugar into a pot with a thick bottom and place it on the stove over medium to high heat. Add a few drops of water and shake without stirring, until the sugar caramelizes.

Add the nuts you have chosen, which can be of any kind, to the caramel and continue to shake the pot, so that they are completely covered with a layer of caramel.

Pour them on a layer of baking paper or silicone, preferably pre-greased.

When distributing the nuts, make sure they're not in a pile. Separate them as much as possible. Act quickly, because the caramel hardens immediately.

Wait for them to cool before eating the caramelized walnuts (in this case).

If you are not going to eat the caramelized nuts straight away, it is best to lightly grease them with oil or olive oil, so that they can be fit for consumption longer and not to soften.

Store them in a tightly closed container.
