Ingredients

  • tomatoes - 6 pcs.
  • green peppers - 2 pcs.
  • onion - 1 onion
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • warm water - 1 1/2 cups
  • minced meat - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • savory herb - by taste
  • black pepper - by taste
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - by taste
  • oil - 5 - 6 tbsp.
  • parsley - for sprinkling

How to make

Peel and cut the onion, carrot and peppers into cubes. Heat the oil in a pot and add the chopped vegetables. Fry them, until they soften.

Add the peeled and diced tomatoes and sugar. Stir and add the washed and well-strained rice.

Pour the water and leave the dish to boil on low heat. From the minced meat, form small meatballs and put them in the boiling stew.

Leave the stew to simmer on low heat for about 20-25 minutes. Remove the cooked stew and sprinkle it with as much black pepper and savory herb as you like. When serving, sprinkle it with finely chopped parsley.
